  • if you are hosted here then your web address wil be http://www.fanfictionworld.org/hostees/you unless you have a domain name then it will be your own domainname for the address
  • You will be linked under "Current Hostees"on the main page.
  • A new friend and a regular visitor (me!) and A very kind host who will give you all the help & support you need.

    Terms & Conditions

    I know, rules can take the fun out of a lot of things, but for free hosting it's really not such a big deal. I have a lot of requirements, I know, and I'm sorry if it scares you away, but at least it'll cut down on applications and I'll have only the most dedicated hostees :)

  • No hostee will comprimise my main sites diskspace meaning if my main domain needs the space back then you may be asked to leave

  • if You wish to host a blog it can be manually done or it can be done using a blogging script (I will only accept WordPress or cutenews). If you're worried on how to set up WP or cutenews you can put those worries away because I would be glad to set it up for you.

  • after I've sent you your login details to move in and upload your site Your site must be up within a WEEK of being accepted and you must reply to the offer of hosting within 48 hours or I will delete your account.
  • You are not allowed to host anyone else on your space, if your site is to be co-owned by anyone, you must notify me immediately.
  • No porn, hentai or hate stuff on your blog/site permitted. all sites linked to my domain must be "friendly" no exceptions I will not host Mp3 sites,illegal content sites or Adult Oriented Content sites so dont waste your time in asking

  • no big files That means NO .zips, .pngs, no mp3's no video files and no CHATROOMS. If you really need to use PNG's upload them somewhere like photobucket

  • You must be at least 14 years old.

  • You must already have a live example of your skills this needs to be filled in as your sample website in your application, applications without this will be disregarded.

  • Even if your designing skills are great, I won't even consider you unless you're literate. That means nO sTiCkY caps, NO CAPS ALL THE TIME, no tyzypin lyk diz, etc.

  • You must say why you want to be hosted by me in the comments section of the form

  • Your site must be in English

  • dont eat all my bandwidth if you do you your account will be suspended and you'll will be asked to leave (will grant you a copy of your files if this happens)

  • You must be friendly with the rest of the fanfictionworld.org family (me + any other hostees)

  • you must keep in contact with me at least once a month via instant messenger *cough* msn *cough* msn messenger is free to have so I suggest that you go and get it!

  • This is probably the easiest requirement: your site has to be readable and your layouts have to have effort in them. That's all. I really couldnt care less if your layouts are excellent or just okay as long as I can read it!

  • FTP knowledge would be an advantage I may be willing to teach you basic ftping if i have the time.

  • You must link back to http://www.fanfictionworld.org. Somewhere visible and on every page please. It's a small price for having me host you :) (Example: Hosted by: Spikey) I don't really care about where the link is on your page but do not stow it away because I will delete you from my server without warning if you do. And I will be checking this reguarly

  • Please comment on my blog and join the forum. I will comment my hostees, so don't you think it's only polite to do the same? Again, I want hostees that can also be friends, not moochers off my space. moochers will be deleted from the server

  • Absolutely NO using my server space as storage. That means no uploading stuff you will not use on your site, no direct linking, and NO MUSIC (even if it is for your site). Remember, if I find anything that should not be on your space your account will be removed without notice your files will be randomly checked by me often
    dont steal anyone elses layouts - this will also get you deleted without warning

  • Please kepp your site active, if you site is inactive for a month or longer, it will be deleted, unless I have been notified that you are away No stolen content, if I find you have been stealing content and/or coding from other sites, you will be deleted without warning
  • Don't expect me to fix all your problems... I'll try to help, but I can't guarantee anything.

  • You are NOT allowed to display ANY adverts or make a profit from anything on your site. Likewise, you are NOT allowed to ask for donations from your visitors the only thing allowed is the donation button for my site which helps to keep the server and in turn your hosted site online. if you break this rule youll be deleted so fast you wont know what hit you

  • Do not upload large files to your site, unless you have asked me first and I have given permission

  • You may use premade layouts as long as you dont remove any credits

  • You may not upload any mp3 or video files

  • I will host a domain already owned by you if im able too but buying the domain and anything connected to it is your responsiblity

  • You must update at LEAST once every 2 weeks (if you can't adhere to this rule be sure to contact me to avoid deletion). Inactive sites WILL be deleted.

  • You don't have to but you should make regular back-ups of your site/database: I am not responsible for the recovery of lost data.

  • After you explain your reasons for applying and after any other comments in the "comments"question , please add the word "thesky" to show that you've bothered to read the rules!

    I will always try to warn a hostee before deleting them and make a backup of their site if I delete them. However, I don't have to go by any rules since it is my site so please keep that in mind and always keep a back up of your site.If you decide to move, it is common courtesy to tell me in advance

    and finally no disrespect or abuse to me if I inform you that you have to leave (Which I can do at anytime and for any reason whatsoever) I have zero tolerence for disrespectful people. So think about that before opening your mouth to say something rude to either me or my hostees.because if your rude to me or any of the other hostees I will delete you so fast you won't even know it

    dont Give your password out to others or allow access to your account to anyone else If you do I will delete you so fast you won't even know it
    I will be the sole decider of what is/is not acceptable on my domain so basically what I say is final and binding
